It's a tough life being a DJ. You press a few buttons, make millions and shell out tons of cash for mansions in Beverly Hills.
Yes, yes, we know there's more to it than that. But the high-flying life of a superstar DJ is nevertheless something to be envied, if Calvin Harris' new home is any indication.
Variety reported on Tuesday that the hitmaker behind "Summer" and "I Need Your Love" has splashed more than $15 million on a mansion in the Beverly Hills Post Office area.
And it's a beaut.
Check out photos of Calvin Harris' $15-million mansion:
The home, located at 9779 Oak Pass Road, according to an MLS listing, sits on 2.7 acres and is 18,000 square feet in size.
Built in 2013, it has 10 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms in a main house and four separate structures. There's a private home with a pool and guest apartment, maid's quarters with a three-car garage and even a two-story guest house that has its own garage with space for two cars.
And it isn't the first time that Harris has bought a swanky home in the Los Angeles area. He previously threw down $7 million on a house in the Hollywood Hills.
That one has its own perks such as "floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking an infinity-edge pool, a flaming fire-pit lounge and state-of-the-art tiered home theater," said real estate website Zillow.
News of Harris' latest purchase comes as he prepares to release "Motion," his fourth studio album, in November, MTV U.K. reported.
Sigh. Why did we take piano lessons when we could have learned how to mix instead?
