Order a man a salad and he'll eat for a day. Kickstart his campaign for a salad and he'll probably eat for months.
Sure, ordering food online has been a long-time gift for those too lazy to pick up a phone, but it seems publicly funding meals is the latest trend for the denizens of the web to grab a bite to eat.
Back in June, Ohio resident Zack Brown launched a Kickstarter calling on donors to pony up $10 to make a potato salad. Turns out the internet really loves potato salad because Brown's campaign has so far amassed nearly $61,000 from more than 6,200 donors. Better yet, it still has 10 days to go.
To call this a success would be an understatement, but it did make us curious about what other strangely successful Kickstarters the internet has decided to back. Interested? Give the video above a watch.
